Permission policy

For visitors — no account needed

• Anyone can browse Island Vibes: explore spots across all 14 parishes, view the map, open business pages and read reviews.
• The For You feed and the events calendar are public too — you never need an account to see what businesses and locals have posted.
• Liking is available to everyone, but a saved like count is coming with accounts.

Posting events — free for everyone with an account

• Event posting is free. Create an account (email or Google) and you can post parties, sound clashes, live music, food festivals and carnivals.
• Your event shows its photo as the display image if you attach one; without a photo it gets a colorful Island Vibes card.
• You can delete your own events at any time. Only you can delete them — nobody else can touch your posts.
• Events can't be edited after publishing. If something changes, delete the event and post it again.

Business accounts — post as your business, and only yours

• A business account is locked to one business. The first time you post, you choose which business is yours — after that it's locked and every post goes out under that business's name and parish.
• This is enforced on the server, not just on the screen. Even if someone tried to post under another business, the platform would rewrite it to their own — a business can never post as anyone else.
• Business posts can be photos or videos (up to 50MB each) with a caption, shown on the For You feed.
• Like events, business posts can't be edited after publishing — delete and repost instead. You can delete your own posts at any time.
• Media files are stored privately and served through secure, expiring links.

Subscriptions & billing

• Posting events is free — always.
• Running a business account is US$25 per month, billed monthly. That covers your business listing and posting photos and videos to the For You feed.
• Billing is handled by our payment partner, which takes care of taxes, currency conversion and receipts. Until billing is switched on, business features are open — we'll confirm before charging anyone.

Content & media rules

• Only post photos, videos and event details you have the right to share — your own pictures, or ones you have permission to use.
• Keep it lawful and respectful: no stolen media, no misleading event listings, no impersonating another business.
• Island Vibes may remove posts, events or listings that break these rules or misrepresent a business.

Your data & your rights

• You can sign in with an email address or with Google. Email sign-ups need to confirm their address before publishing.
• You can delete any of your own posts or events from the platform at any time; deleting a post also removes its media.
